As per the report, Justice Senthilkumar Ramamoorthy passed the order after the production house of the movie filed a petition raising concerns about the movie getting illegally streamed or telecast on the internet or cable TV networks. The producers in the plea stated that piracy would lead to massive losses. The court directed that failure to act on the orders could become an “irreversible injury” to the rights holders. At the same time, it recognized that some intermediaries’ legitimate commercial interests would be affected. The court ordered the producers to compensate impacted parties in order to achieve a balance. The next hearing is scheduled for April 15.
