Akshay Kumar is all geared up for the release of his next, ‘Bhooth Bangla’, directed by Priyadarshan. The movie also features Tabu, and the actors are set to reunite on screen after 25 long years. At the trailer launch event on Monday, the duo talked about working together after a long time, despite sharing a good bond with each other off screen.
Tabu reveals Akshay Kumar used to pick her up on his bike during their aearly days
Talking about their collaboration, IANS quoted Akshay Kumar saying, “This was the right film for both of us. We couldn’t get the film till now because she was busy in her place, I was busy in my place, and Priyan sir was busy somewhere else. So, now you have got a chance. But now I will request Tabu ji and Priyan sir that you won’t have this complaint.”Khiladi Kumar went down memory lane and talked about how he and Tabu have known each other for over 39 years.He said, “She is a very dear and old friend of mine. I have been in this industry for about 35 years. But I have known Tabu for 38 years, 39 years. Tabu and I used to go to the dance academy together to dance. Very few people know this.”Tabu quickly chimed in, “Yes, he used to pick me up on the bike.”According to the Hindustan Times report, she also said, “He is the same; he still wakes up at 4 AM and will insist on jogging at 5 AM. He still says, ‘Don’t eat this or that.’ That has not changed at all.”For the unversed, Akshay Kumar and Tabu last shared screen space in Priyadarshan’s cult film ‘Hera Pheri’. It was released in the year 2000.
